The 2-day training webinar will explore the fundamentals of drinking water supply. During the webinar, the sampling analysis and evaluation of surface and borehole water sources will be discussed in order to determine if they are appropriate for use as sources of drinking water. The participants will also learn about SANS 241 and its role in creating a Water Safety Plan. The conventional treatment of surface water and advanced methods for eliminating specific contaminants will be explained. Additionally, the regulatory requirements that are necessary for managing a water supply system will be covered. Delegates will be presented with a few case studies and will be given the opportunity to put what they have learned to the test and provide feedback.
